Birth Control…

Posted Feb. 16th, 2011

I have been constantly having this conversation with many different people and I am amazed about how many women are on birth control.  The two most common answer as to why they are taking them is due to, not wanting to get pregnant and the other is, regulate their monthly period (menses).  In this blog, I am going to talk about the side effects of birth control and how these are one of the biggest things that creates havoc on a woman’s health and quality of life.  I look at birth control as a legal way to poison a woman.  There are birth controls out there that a woman can have four periods a year to not having their period ever.  To me, I look at it and say, “Why in the world would you stop or manipulate something that happens natural for a women?”

So, since we know that most birth controls are a dosage of estrogen (which is a hormone).  Lets first talk about what hormones do for our body.  The one mechanism in the body that controls every single cell, tissue and organ is your nervous system.  Our hormone (endocrine) system, is like our nervous system but much slower.  A typical nerve impulse are in the split of a second.  (400 miles per second).  The endocrine system lasts anywhere from a few minutes to a day or two.  Our endocrine system is controlled and regulated by our brain.  There is a specific amount of hormones we want the body to be creating to help keep the body in balance.  The most common hormone we all know is, insulin.  Insulin is what helps the body regulate blood sugar levels in the body.  When we have high blood sugar levels, the pancreas will produce insulin to bring blood sugar levels down to where it is in a normal range.  There are over 1,000 known hormones in the body that we produce and each hormone plays a role to help keep the body in balance.  So, my question to someone who takes birth control would be, “If hormones are what regulate the body at precise dosages, what do we do to our body when we are adding hormones that are not that precise or specific?”  Lets take a look at some of the negative side effects of birth control and why I say it is something that decreases the health of a woman…

  • ·         Nausea
  • ·         Weight gain
  • ·         Sore or swollen breasts
  • ·         Small amount of blood, or spotting, between periods
  • ·         Lighter periods
  • ·         Mood changes
  • ·         Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
  • ·         Chest pain
  • ·         Headaches (severe)
  • ·         Eye problems (blurred vision)
  • ·         Swelling and/or aching in the legs and thighs
  • ·         Blood clots in the arms, legs, and lungs
  • ·         Serious heart or liver disease
  • ·         Cancer of the breast or uterus
My question to someone is, if they take it to not become pregnant, is it worth all that to risk to potentially experience such of the symptoms as described as above?  Or how about to regulate a monthly menses cycle?  Did you know the two causes of cancer?  Cancer loves to grow off an acidic lifestyle such as toxins and the second aspect is, hormones.  Did you know why they stopped doing hormone replacement therapy on women?  It increased the chances of having breast cancer.  More and more women were getting cancer and they realized that hormone replacement therapy was not a good idea.  There are so many different ways you can regulate your hormones and help the body adjust to function better.  First off is, chiropractic care.  Since your nervous system controls and regulates every single bodily function, it would be great to get a check up to see how well the health of your nervous system is.  The second biggest thing is exercise.  Exercise helps break down excess hormones in the body and help rid waste from the body through sweating.  The third main ingredient is nutrition.  The more greens and superfoods one consumes, the more alkaline the body becomes which promotes healing and starves cancer cells.
If you take birth control due to prevent pregnancy, there are many healthier and non-toxic alternatives that can help.  Some of these practices have existed for the past 2000 plus years.  Check out this article that talks about a couple practices that work wonderfully and one of them, does not involve the female.

Thank you very much! I personally believe many of the ‘experts’ do not recognize this because there is too much money at stake. There is billions of dollars made off birth control. If we realize the cause of why women’s hormones are being ‘off’ or ‘unregulated’ in the first place, we can eliminate most of these issues. Why do more harm to our health for the sake of regulating one’s menses or to prevent from having children? Does the risk outweigh the benefit?

If you google negative effects of birth control pills, you will get more of the medical side of the story which doesn’t get to the truth of what these do to the body. Any questions, please let me know. Subscribe to my blog and continue commenting. I greatly appreciate it!
